The Iridium Extreme 9575 is the newest handheld from Iridium. Smaller and more robust, it supports the toughest high usage customers of satellite phone communications. Its IP 65 rating offers excellent protection against water, dust. Contrary to its predecessor, the 9575 comes equipped with a GPS receiver allowing it to be the first satellite phone with a dedicated Satellite Emergency Notification Device SOS button. Compliant with StratosTrax, it offers location based monitoring for additional safety requirements. Theoretical battery life is estimated at 30 hours during standby mode and 3.5 hours in talk mode. It is 100% compatible with Iridium models 9555, 9505A and 9505 and continues to benefit from a true incompatible global coverage using Iridium’s satellite network constellation.
